I Quit - Revisited

I just read through an old post of mine called I Quit and have realised it's been over a year now since the last time I smoked a cigarette.

Yes. I haven't had a single ciggie ever since that last post and I am proud of it. My friends have asked me if I miss it, if I still have the urge. My answer is yes to both. I miss the smoking these damned cigarettes and I do have the urge every once in a while. They don't last long, however. Usually only for a couple of seconds. But now I feel healthier, I am more productive, I breathe better and I can even laugh harder. It's definitely one of the best decisions I've made and I am sticking with it.

To all smokers out there: if you do plan to quit, then do it. No excuses. Just stop and that's it.

That's right. After 3 weeks of being completely smoke-free, I'm happy to let myself know that I've quit smoking (at least for the time being).

I'm happy and glad that I've stopped after more than 10 years of dependency. Not anymore. Let's just hope I've not quit too late and that I'll stay smoke-free from now on.

A new year, a new life.

2008 is approaching and to me, it feels like a new life is about to begin. A new year always gives me a good reason to shed my old skin an grow a shiny new one. This means I may have a new goal, a new, healthier lifestyle or perhaps a new career/skills/expertise.

I have so much that I want to do, but so little time.

Beach fun

Wilson's Promontory (Vic, Australia) is probably one of the most beautiful places that I've ever visited. Surreal blue skies and beautiful granite hills put a sensuous touch of warmth and comfort in your heart.
